Some satin stitch and the twist

I have finally started the satin stitch on my Medallion quilt.

 

One down, seven more to go. I really didn't enjoy the satin stitch compared to the backstitch and running stitch. This is going to take me longer than I thought.

I took a break from hand stitching today and played with my Lil' Twister ruler.

I found a cute pattern for a pillow in the Let's Twist book and came up with this:

I hope to quilt it and complete the pillow before the end of the weekend. I had so much fun and will definitely be using this ruler again... I am thinking a new table topper for the family room!

    Oh that's going to be such a cute pillow! I've been seeing these twisters everywhere in blogland and think they are so much fun.

    You stitching looks great, although that's a lot of satin stitch and I can see why you needed a break. And this is such a cute pillow :)
