Already Friday!
My finish this week is only a quilt top.
I have been loving all the different "cross quilts" out there in blog land and really wanted to make my own.
My quilt group decided to have a challenge this year where we all had the same fabrics and made a project of our choosing. I thought this fabric would be great for this kind of pattern. I only added the solid black for the inner border. I designed it myself using good old graph paper and a pencil. It turned out to be a large lap quilt at 62"x72".
My husband LOVES this quilt! The last quilt I made for him was a wedding gift and we've been married almost 11 years. I think it's time!
He has an office/music studio in the basement which still needs quite a bit of work (removing carpet, painting, putting in laminate flooring...), he has however said that he would love this quilt on the wall as a wallhanging that would be very useful also to absorb sound when he is playing guitar.
I am so pleased with this quilt! Now I am trying to figure out how I am going to quilt it! Any thoughts?
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt!!is a design suitable for a man!
And this size is just great, is one that I like: it makes you to take the quilt with you everywhere you go.
That's a great use of those fabrics: it really works well with the larger prints. Your husband has good taste in quilts!
ReplyDeletegood job yet again Ginette....
